Gwyneth Paltrow will be honored for her commitment to low-income children at “Paul Mitchell Presents the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala” on November 11, 2017 in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16, 2017 – Today, non-profit Baby2Baby announced Gwyneth Paltrow as the recipient of the “Giving Tree Award” at “Paul Mitchell Presents the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala,” which will be held on November 11, 2017 at 3Labs in Los Angeles. As part of their mission to provide low-income children with basic necessities, Baby2Baby honors a mother each year who utilizes her position in the public eye to advocate on behalf of the low-income children the organization serves. Past honorees of the “Giving Tree Award” include the organization’s ambassadors Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Garner.

“We are excited to honor Gwyneth Paltrow at the gala this year—she has set an important example through her unwavering commitment to giving back to low-income children,” said Baby2Baby Co-Presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein.

“Throughout Gwyneth’s long history of philanthropic work, she has been a champion of issues ranging from improving education, to fighting poverty, to combating hunger in underserved communities. Gwyneth’s dedication to children in need perfectly embodies the Baby2Baby spirit.”

Over the past six years, Patricof and Weinstein have helped drive awareness to the critical dangers children face without access to basic supplies and have distributed over 34 million items to low-income children ages 0-12 years. The organization’s annual gala raises millions of dollars to support its services.

Designed by Los Angeles’ top event producer, Yifat Oren of Oren Co., the evening will bring together a wide range of the city’s best chefs who will join forces and donate their time and talent to create one of the city’s most culinary-rich events. The dinner extravaganza will be led by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo from Animal, Son of a Gun and Jon & Vinny’s, with custom cocktails crafted by The Spare Room and a curated wine selection from Helen’s Wine Bar, Veuve Clicquot and Barrymore Wines. Additional restaurants participating include Petit Trois, Au Fudge, Burritos La Palma, Craig’s, Destroyer, Felix, Genghis Cohen, Hayden, Here’s Looking at You, KazuNori, Kismet, Luv2eat Thai, McConnell’s, Milk Bar, Republique, Rossoblu, Sqirl, Valerie Confections, Wexler’s Deli and more.

The event will feature a custom installation designed for Baby2Baby by acclaimed multimedia artist Alex Israel.
