South Korean singer, Kang Daniel, took some of his fellow K-pop band members from Wanna One to a Beer Yoga session where the four Korean heartthrobs seemed like they were having a great time experimenting with partner yoga and chugs of beer.
(Save for Hwang Minhyun who seemed to have a mug full of water instead.)
The video was uploaded to the YouTube channel of MBCentertainment on Sept. 10 in a series entitled Dangerous Outside of Blanket. In the set-up for the episode, Kang Daniel suggests the Beer Yoga session to his fellow boybandmates. The others are skeptical and Ong Sung Woo joked in Korean, “You’re making all sorts of excuses to drink now. I recently learned a thing called the soju dance as well.”
But they all join the fun and the K-pop boys tried out some partner yoga counter-balances, some asana work, and a few moments of meditation – all with a mug of beer in hand, of course.
Some of the Beer Yoga poses Wanna One tried were partner squats, partner Vrksasana (Tree Pose), Dhanurasana (Bow Pose), and wrapping it all up with meditation in Sukhasana (Easy Seated Pose).
After their Beer Yoga experiment, Kang Daniel and the other Wanna One members sat for a group chat about how they felt about their experience mixing beer and yoga.
Kang Daniel rose to fame in South Korea as the second season winner of the reality boy group survival show, Produce 101 which aired on Mnet.
He then became the lead member of the 11-member K-pop group Wanna One, which was also formed on Produce 101 Season 2. The groups first single, 1X1=1 (To Be One), debuted on Aug. 7 with seven songs. The three-minute single, “Energetic” was the title track.
According to KPOP Wikia, The group plan to disband in December 2018.
