For those who have always wanted to start a yoga practice but have not been able to make it into a studio, the My Yoga Joy app may be the solution to make your new yoga habit stick in 2017.
My Yoga Joy launched in October 2016 and is available for users on either Android or iOS devices. It is the only yoga app that streams more than eight daily classes live to anywhere in the world from their studios in Texas. The creators hope it will allow students to get as much of a studio experience as they can even if they are unable to physically make it into a studio.
Classes may also be streamed on a web browser from the official My Yoga Joy website.
Christopher Mulgrew, the founder of the app, said that the future or yoga is not in a studio but wherever yoga enthusiasts happen to be. Whether it be at home, during their lunch break, or even while traveling.
“We know nothing beats the in-studio experience, but we also know it’s not always possible to make it to the studio – so we brought the studio to you,” he said in a press release.
Furutre plans for My Yoga Joy include a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training program that can be livestreamed from the app.
Currently, first timers with the app may try it out for $0.99 one month. Regular subscription plans start at $14.99 per month.
