For those who really need to go the extra mile to find peace and quiet during their yoga practice, a company in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA may have the perfect spot for you. They offer what could possibly the most secluded spot for yoga – accessible only by helicopter.
While some people are satisfied going to their friendly neighborhood yoga studio, or popping into a quiet meditation boutique for a few minutes of inner peace, some really need to literally get away from everyone and everything. If you’re willing to pay up $3,499 for the experience.
Maverick Helicopters in Las Vegas started offering the world’s first HeliYoga Classes. Classes are limited to only six participants who are transfered via private helicopter to the highest peak in the Valley of Fire State Park.
Classes run for 75 minutes and are lead by an certified yoga teacher from Silent Savasana.
No need to worry about bringing any yoga props into the helisopter either. HeliYoga classes provide Lululemon mats, blocks, straps, and even headphones which wirelessly transmit the yoga teacher’s cues and custom playlist without disturbing the surrounding areas with loud speakers.
After the class, participants can enjoy the views of red sandstone formations with a bottle of Champagn (it is Vegas, afterall) and walk around the area before taking the chopper back down to civilization.
On the way back, the helicopter takes a detour down the famous Strip so participants will get to see the views of Downtown Las Vegas.
The entire experince lasts for around 2.5 hours.
Maverick Helicopters suggests to bring a camera and an ID – they only accept participants who are 18 years old and above.
